Learning a handstand can feel frustrating.

One day, everything clicks, and the next day, it feels like you’re starting over.

But it’s not because you’re bad at balance. It’s just those small things you might not be doing.

Let me share these with you. 👇

Start filming yourself

If there’s one habit that will speed up your handstand progress, it’s this one.

What you think you’re doing and what you’re actually doing are almost never the same.

Record from different angles so you can see your weak points, whether it’s shoulder mobility, hip misalignment, not enough tension, etc.

Progress often feels invisible in the moment but compare clips from months apart, and you’ll see how much your line, control, and confidence have improved.

Stop doing random attempts

This is something I learned the hard way.

I started making a lot of random attempts from a standing position, failing each time and getting frustrated, which slowed my progress.

Learn to enter the handstand from the ground before doing this.

You need to learn the position of your hands, how much power to use, and, more importantly, how to actually catch a handstand without overbalancing.

And you won’t learn this if you are constantly just trying out if you make it.
