Comparing yourself with others

I know you hear it everywhere but it’s true. I did this mistake and it slowed down my progress because I was frustrated. You see all those guys with amazing physique doing planches, front levers, crazy stuff on rings and you start comparing yourself with them and having FOMO (fear of missing out).

Some athletes are professional who dedicated their whole life to training and spent years on mastering some skills and it’s a small percentage compared to majority of people who have some jobs and limited time during the day. Each of us is different and you need to create the best version of yourself.

You should get inspired, set your own goals and work towards them. The most important part is to stick to the plan and improve little by little every day. Film yourself, get back to your first videos after 1-2 years and you will see the difference.

Write it down and write your journey towards it. Schedule your workout for this goal. Set, reps and/or weight. Make sure you apply progressive overload each session. If something didn't go as you planned, write it there.

Stick to your plan for at least 3 months and get back to it so you can analyze it.
